The Israeli Insurtech Ecosystem – Detailed Map

FinTLV remains committed to exploring this ecosystem, supporting its growth through investments, identifying business opportunities, and fostering strategic partnerships to maximize value.

The map provides a comprehensive overview of the ecosystem, showing major players, their roles, and where innovation is concentrated.

Spheres of the Map:

  1. Local Incumbents: Core of the Israeli industry.

  2. Full Stack Carriers: Insurtech companies that began as MGAs and developed into full-stack carriers (or started as full-stack carriers like Lemonade). Predominantly US-based and emerging locally in the last five years.

  3. MGAs and Brokers: Companies providing or managing insurance coverage. FinTLV defines any company meeting these criteria as insurtech.

  4. Insurtech Enablers: Companies providing tools/services essential to the industry (technology for pricing, claims, underwriting, etc.). Divided into sectors: Preventive, Underwriting, Data, and Service. Companies may appear in multiple sectors simultaneously.

  5. Multi-vertical Insurtech Enablers: Sector-agnostic companies providing marketing, coding, platforms, hubs, and other multi-sector services.
